Taking A Breath

Everything is almost done. Life can get back to normal.

... Sure

We just picked up the last few items from my uncle's house and handed over the key to the new owner. Tommorow, we'll be having dinner with his girlfriend. (That is, the uncle's girlfriend) We've got all her stuff in the trunk of our car. She can get all that stuff, and then on Wednesday we'll be off to the title company to finish the process. That's it.

Besides our house being a wreck from all the boxes we've got over here, life will be mundane again. Joy!

So there's this rumor going around that I'll be starting college in the fall. It hasn't been absolutely confirmed, but maybe maybe. Too much crap to go through in so small a time. Can't see it happening but the rumors persist.

The little pup is ALMOST house trained. She certainly knows what going outside means but she hasn't learned to ask for it yet. I'll be starting her on leash training next week. Buster was SO jealous when we first got her, and then he got SO concerned about her when she cried in her cage at night. Now he's in love with her. He's constantly whining at me to go play with her. I have to keep them seperated when I can't watch them. They take turns being confined in my room and running around the house. She's so cute. You push her over and she just keeps on rolling all the way accross the room.

::Snore::

Well, we've got the uncle set up with hospice now.

Daily visits with nurses and home aids, etc.. He's got a nice new hospital bed with an air mattress, a lift, a bedside table, and an emergency medication packet. How nifty.

Ummm... That's all. G'night.

The Uncle Pics... Finally!

Stealthily (is that a word?) I scan the pics... secretly I edit them... and finally... under much standing around in front of the computer screen acting like I'm not doing anything... I publish them.

As much work as I've done to get these up here, they're not as funny as I had first thought. All of these were taken in the 70's and earlier. Enjoy...

Wishin' He Would Sleep

Darn.

I found some hilarious pictures of my uncle and I so want to scan them on to the comp, but the uncle is sitting right behind me and he never sleeps. Too far to see what I type, too close to not notice a picture of himself. Tisk tisk tisk... what to do?

The Uncle Is Here

Well, the uncle's with us now.

We're not ready for him, but he's here. The rest of the night will be spent moving stuff around and cleaning. He wasn't making any sense earlier but he is now, so that's good.

Highlights

Well, I haven't had much of an exciting week but a few noteworthy points were made. (Noteworthy to myself, not to anyone else.)

So, today, a girl panicked when her car started to shake so she ran over a stop sign and my back fence. ...deleted...

My uncle has decided its time to move in with us. This week and probably the weekend will be spent moving furniture around and stuff. He'll be staying in Mom's bedroom and Mom will be staying in Grandmother's old room. The morphine he's taking is beginning to make him hallucinate. It's terrible and funny. He keeps thinking I'm throwing things at him. I don't like that at all.

I've met four new cousins this week. It's great. But now I'm totally back logged on my genealogy. They've sent me so much stuff. I'm related to 75% of the people who lived in Pumpkin Bend, Arkansas. I could possibly be related to more, but 75% is confirmed. That is a mighty lot of people to keep track of.

A Smelly Guy And Irritating Actors

Long day.

I spent all day in a waiting room watching soap operas on tv. It just about killed me. I CANNOT STAND THOSE SOAPS! It's like the finger nails on the chalk board thing. I don't know why those shows irritate me so much.

Do I attract freaks? This is just happening to me all to often, lately. I was sitting in McDonalds (which is in the hospital) on my own, minding my own business, when some guy sits right up next to me and starts talking about President Kennedy being shot. "Yeah, my momma was here when that happened. Can you believe I'm that old? I was born before then. Can you believe that?" Ah! I don't care! Go away you old smelly freak! But, of course, I wouldn't say that. I sat and nodded only when I had to until he finally left.

Despite me ranting, I'm not in a bad mood. I'm pretty giddy, actually. Chow.

Lots Of Shifting Furniture (lame title, i know)

Tomorrow, my soon to be married cousin is coming over to pick up some of our less than wanted furniture for her new house.

She's taking my great grandmother's piano and mom's old desk among other things.

Then we're going over to the uncle's house to clean and rearrange furniture. We need to make it possible for him to move around his house in his new wheel chair. I so want to get into his coat closet as he has hinted that there are letters in there that grandfather wrote to grandmother while in the war.

I'm loving my homework. It's really interesting. Misty, dear, I want to test my teacher's skills on you sometime. I'll practice on you before I try tackling my brother. Haha.

Bla Bla Bla And Kittens

I'm so excited about the Christ's Ambassadors class. I'll get to go in just a few hours. Yay!

I get way too excited about learning. I really need to go to college or something. ::Nerd!:: Okay.

Um, I've had a busy couple of days. We've had endless doctors appointments for my uncle. No more this week, I think. They're now saying he only has about three months left. We went today to the radiation place to make a final decision on what he'll do. They said that all that radiation will do now is make him sick before he dies and he doesn't want that. So this is it.

The momma cat at his house just had her new litter of kittens. I'll take pictures if she doesn't move them before we go back there. I'm not sure when that will be. Two kittens were dead and three were living. One looked sickly, though. We'll see. She has two black ones and one that is black and white. They are so cute and tiny. Awwww...

Met a new cousin through my genealogical quests. Yay! Can't wait to compare info.

What else? Oh, yeah. I was blog of the day at some site called "M Rated". That's nice. What did I do to deserve that? (Can you hear the hint of sarcasm here?)

Well then. Guess I'll go do some more research. Chow.

SLEEPY... Sleepy... sleepy... snoooooor

Cha. I need some sleep. Don't think I've had any in three days.

Well, I had some, but not that good long restful kind. Stupid PBS is asking for money again. I'm missing my brit coms. Oh, yeaaaaah. I've got recorded shows I need to watch. Yay.

Fixin' to go over to the uncle's house and do some chores for him. If we don't smell too bad when we get back, we just might make it to church.

Ho Ho Ho

Okay, I feel alot happier now. Hehe.

Richard (our preacher) and Henry (our deacon) were hilarious this morning after church. Mom had called up there Friday to ask for a wheel chair temporarily so he said he'd find us one today. Well, Richard was insisting on finding us the best one so he started testing them out with Henry pushing him up and down the foyer. Pretty soon they were trying out pop'a'wheelies and other acrobatic moves. It was classic.

We went over to my uncle's and cleaned out some of the kitchen. Played with cats. Yep. Good day.

Look Mommy... I Rhymed!

I only speak when I have something to say,
But I feel I must speak at least once everyday.
So, what to say at those times when all I feel is deppression,
And my lackluster life leaves no inspiration?

What to say?

To be caged in a prison for years...
Yes, years...
So close to the day of my release.
It was right there.
Just one month away...
Just one week...
Just days...
Just...
What happened?

It was there and now it's gone.
It stands again at that distant horizon.
But this time...
I'm a loser either way.
I'll wish away that day.
I have nothing more to say.

More On The Uncle

I'm finally home. We were up at the hospital for eight hours today. After that, we went to his house and talked about what was going to happen next.

I mostly stayed outside playing with his cats. Now I've got three cats that absolutely love me and four more that aren't scared of me anymore. Ol' Momma Cat, as I like to call her now, is pregnant yet again. She kept bullying me for more food.

This weekend we're cleaning out our extra bedroom for him to stay in when it comes time. We'll also be going over there to clean his house out some or at least decide what we'll do with it all. We'll also have to shop for a couple of wedding presents for my cousin's shower coming up on Easter weekend and for her wedding. Man... big weekend.

Bad News

My uncle, today, found out that his cancer returned and is now terminal. He has less than six months. Very sad.

To Misty: Sorry I hung up on you today. I was in the car with my uncle and I was getting sick and stuff. Forgot to take my pills when I had salad dressing last night. I'll be gone all day tomorrow for doctors appointments and such. I'm not really in the mood for a spring break trip. Real sorry. Call me some time tommorow night on my cell. Don't know if I'll make it to church.

Another Early Morning

Again, this night owl must wake up at about five in the morning. Yuk! Ew! Blegh! Agh! ::caugh::sneeze:: Um, excuse me?

Anywho... I just got back from taking the uncle man to finish the MRI we set out to do last week and again, he could not stand to go through the whole thirty minutes left on it. I think he did like twenty or something. The doc said that what they got should be fine. I wouldn't know. What exactly is an MRI? Now tomorrow morning we will be heading out again to take said uncle man to the hospital to see his ENT doctor. My mother has made up a mighty list of things to ask him. Apparently the uncle man is a bit shy and doesn't ask what he's dying to know himself. Hopefully that appointment won't take but an hour which considering traveling time and more equates to a five hour ordeal.

I am now doing something that I have been wanting to do for a very long time. I'm developing a gaming website. This website will have actual games and puzzles in it. Pretty low tech plans for now. Pics and html games. At the moment, I am creating a nice little story game for the site. It's about waking up in a strange forest and having to find your way out without dying. I've already finished the writing for the first half of the story and all fifteen ways to die. I eventually want to have flash games and such to play on it but for now I'll stick with pic games, story games, and free downloadable .exe games. I can't wait.

Have you heard of the Lhama Song? It's hilarious!... for about five minutes. Then it's just annoying. Check it out.

Oh, yeah! Whoop! [singing] I'm going on a road trip. I'm going on a road trip. [/singing] It took a bit of fighting and arguing with dear old Mommy but we're going! The only problem is the Uncle man, but I think we can solve that with an Aunt. Misty, dear, I'm all settled on the issue. It's your turn. I still haven't found out about the car rental but I'm pretty sure that Mother WILL NOT sign anything for us. So... It's up to us. [singing] Oklahoma, here we come. Oklahoma, you're not dumb. Oh, how we love our deeeeeeear oooooold Ooooooo Kla Hooooomaaaaaaa. Yee haw! [/singing]

Yeppers. That about covers the news tonight. Mmm Hmmmm... Alrighty then. Well, I should probably stop procrastinating typing and go to bed. Niters.

What's up? Not much!

Hmmmm... ...deleted...

I made another quiz called The Search For Atlantis. It's a long boring quiz that is absolutely nothing like what I planned it to be. Oh well.

I spent most of the day watching my mother rake the leaves in front of my uncle's house. Out of all those black cats, I made two new friends and decided to name them. The kitten which I had already bonded with in now dubbed Sir Little Man. The quiet little cat that didn't mind me petting it, as long as he/she was eating, is now called Sweat Pie or Sweatie for short. Another cat was just wonderful. He took forever to trust me and not freak out every time he discovered me petting him. (Who did he think was petting him?) When he finally did trust me he went wild. He rolled around and swatted playfully at me. He reminded me of something cross between Felix and Fiscus Dominacious (an old gray cat I had for a while). He also would not shut up. I decided to call him Mow Mow Dominacious. Yeah, I always have to have long exotic names for my animals.

My mother is freaked out that I've named them. Please! Has she ever caught me overly attached to anything? Alright, I'm attached to Buster, but he is like a son or something. He sleeps with me. I'm bound to get attached! Man, I've had him like seven years now. Whatever! I can name anything I want. I name my plants! (Am I ranting or what?)

My uncle has lent me some Celtic cds he thought I might like. They're alright. Kind of nice to have a variety, I guess. He was playing some Celtic music today and while mom wasn't looking we started doing a little dance. It was funny.

I'm having to keep my bedroom blinds open during the day for my money tree. It keeps turning yellow when it doesn't get enough sun. I'm being mighty careful now when I want to change my clothes. No more mooning the neighbors.

Too many chaotic things are happening lately causing me to eat at places that make me gain weight. I think I might try to get in control of weekday dinners. I'm tired of eating out and eating really late. I love to cook so I should really start making more of an effort.

My creativity has disappeared completely. I have no stories to write, no poems to create, no interesting anything lately. Oh, well. I should probably go read my Bible or something. Have I mentioned that I've been sick for almost a month? Yeah, and I was already sick for the last week of November to the second week of January. I'm so tired of being sick. It's not bad, but please! You can only stand so much.

Ohhhh... The Simpsons. TTYL!

Random Jibberish

I'm finally home! Woo hoo.

So I forgot all about recording Lost and Alias... the only shows I watch these days, but, thankfully, they were on in the waiting room. Of course, I missed the first ten minutes of Alias because some guy got up and changed it to American Idol. Sure, I loved Kelly Clarkson like everyone else, but after the first season, it just got old. Yeah, as soon as he left for a smoke, I stood on a chair and flipped it back. So, now I'm wondering what the heck happened to Sydney that she had vampire marks on her neck and was hallucinating from some drug called "nocturne". Um... Okaaaaay. Sure wish I'd seen that part.

So, my uncle has like bone cancer or something. He had to have part of his jaw removed. Now we're all worried that it has spread to his back. A couple of x-rays showed something really weird on one of the lowest vertebrae/rib things. I really don't know what I'm talking about, but he's in alot of pain and can't move around very well. We went in for an MRI tonight and he talked to a doctor on the phone. He said that they would not be able to sedate him. Everyone thought that was pretty strange, and we asked the doc more than once if there was any way to sedate him and the doc kept saying no. That just made my uncle very nervouse and scared to take the MRI. So, before we went up there he took the largest dose of pain pills that he was allowed. Then, halfway through the test his leg starts really killing him and they had to stop. Then they were saying that they could've sedated him if he hadn't taken the pain pills. Now he has to go back next Wednesday to finish the test. Ugh. There's just no communication going on here. It's frustrating.

In better news... I've got some magazines in the mail that should keep me happy for tomorrow. Can't wait for Saturday when Misty and I get to hang out. Woo hoo! Had a good conversation with my father, today. He complained that I didn't call him much. Talked to my baby sis. She got frustrated with me for not knowing what cartoon she was watching. And, oh my word! Is my brother actually getting a job? Is it possible? It's a job digging ditches, lol, but with good pay and benifits. Maybe that will keep him out of trouble. Hehe. So... I believe that's it. G'night!

Pointless Drivel

I finally get to eat here at 10:30 tonight. I did have a bagel today, hehe.

At 7:00 we had to go to a Super Walmart to buy my uncle a few things. It took us forever to locate some "foam rubber" as they phrased it.

By 8:00 we made it to his house where Mom and him talked inside forever. I stayed outside feeding all the cats and playing with one very small, very cute, very loving kitten. It was funny watching five black cats disappear in a flash when I made the slightest noise. One black and white cat stayed at the edge of the yard just staring at us. He'd walk off between the houses and start meowing so loudly and so mournfully, then he would reappear and stare at us some more. He did that like four or five times. Hehe.

We finally got out of there by 8:45 and we headed over to the grocery store. Finally! I'm about tired of bagels. I didn't buy any more. LOL! So, around 10:00 we got to McDonalds and now I'm here typing this pointless drivel. Alrighty then.

Oh... P.S. I won't be at church tomorrow night. We're taking my uncle for some tests.
