Look Mommy... I Rhymed!

I only speak when I have something to say,
But I feel I must speak at least once everyday.
So, what to say at those times when all I feel is deppression,
And my lackluster life leaves no inspiration?

What to say?

To be caged in a prison for years...
Yes, years...
So close to the day of my release.
It was right there.
Just one month away...
Just one week...
Just days...
Just...
What happened?

It was there and now it's gone.
It stands again at that distant horizon.
But this time...
I'm a loser either way.
I'll wish away that day.
I have nothing more to say.

That said, what's got ya' down (if you don't mind my asking)?

I was just feeling really sorry for myself since this is the third time I've had to delay my own life plans because someone has needed me to. In this case, I'm going to have to be available for my uncle until he either has a miracle or dies. Very depressing.

I know you were reading James recently, so "Count it all joy, brethren, when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that ye may be entire and complete, lacking nothing." Easier said than done, though. :)

That said, what are your "life plans"? (again, if you don't mind my asking)

To whom it may concern... I'm 5'5 with light brown hair. I live in a quiet apartment in the DFW area. I have a crazy mean chihuahua named Buster. He's an old fart and the moodiest thing you've ever seen. I have another one named Cinnamon. She seizes every opportunity to score a lick up the nose. It's friggin annoying. I also have a betta named Article. He gets fed alot. But it's only one pellet at a time, so hopefully he won't blow up. My brother, aka the hot sauce king, lives with his girl and his own zoo in an apartment three towns north of me. They're small towns, though. My father lives NE of the DFW area with his wife, my two step brothers, and my little half sister. I spend most of my free time trying to be artistic. I draw and paint, manipulate graphics, write scripts for comics, short stories, and bad poetry. I play about a bazillion different instruments, none of them all that well. I love to garden, especially with cacti. I've also been known to lose hours of my life playing video games. Yep. Just hanging out and having fun. Peace out.
